Installation requirements

A licensed plumber must install the tap and the system. Use your own, or one of our authorised installers.
Cupboard space under the sink of 500mm wide, 580mm deep and 450mm high, with room to reach the filter for changes
Two powerpoints in the cupboard, one for the Bollente and one for the Chilled Stream. Together they draw up to 1800 W.
A licensed electrician must install any new powerpoints.
A connection to your hot and cold water. The pressure limiting valve in the box keeps incoming pressure at 500 kPa or below.

In from the garden
After an afternoon weeding, you come inside hot and thirsty. Turn the left handle to the cold indicator and pour a tall glass of chilled, filtered water.
Baking day
Scones are in the oven and the neighbours are on their way. Fill the teapot with boiling water from the left handle, then wash the mixing bowls under the right.

How it works

How the Alia 4 in 1 boiling and chilled water tap works

On the 4 in 1 tap, hot and cold water skips the filter. Boiling and chilled water follow four steps.

Mains water enters through the F5000L filter, which holds back fine grit and reduces chlorine taste and smell.
The filtered water splits two ways. The Bollente unit heats it to your setting, and the Chilled Stream unit cools it to 8–12°C.
Turn the left handle to the boiling indicator. It has a child-safe design, and each pour gives up to 1.6 L.
Turn the same handle to the cold indicator for chilled, filtered water. The right handle pours hot and cold water from the mains.

Can I use the Alia 4 in 1 like a normal tap, and is the water filtered?

Yes. The right handle is a standard mixer for hot and cold water, for washing hands, rinsing and cleaning.

That water comes from the mains without filtering. The left handle pours boiling and chilled water, both filtered first.

Does the chilled water stay consistent in temperature?

It pours at 8–12°C, chilled by the Chilled Stream unit under the sink. That's cold enough to drink straight away, and the water is filtered before it's chilled.

How hot is the boiling water, and how much can I pour?

It can be set from 35°C up to 98°C, just under the 100°C of a rolling boil. Each pour gives up to 1.6 L, about eight 200ml cups, then the unit takes time to heat more.

How safe is it for families?

The boiling water handle has a mechanical child-safe design, and the tap has an anti-scald design. Even so, boiling water burns, so keep children back from the tap while it's pouring.

What certifications do Alia taps hold?

This tap is WaterMark certified (WMK26897), meets AS 3718 and is marked lead free.

WaterMark is Australia's certification scheme for plumbing products, and AS 3718 is the standard for water supply tapware. The Bollente boiling unit under the sink carries its own certification as a filtered boiling water appliance.

How often do I need to change the filter?

Every 8–12 months, and no later than 12 months. The activated carbon ages once it's wet, so time sets the change date, not how much you use.

Each new F5000L filter costs $150, including GST and delivery.

Can I add sparkling water to the 4 in 1?

No. The 4 in 1 makes boiling and chilled water only. For sparkling water, look at the X51 boiling, chilled and sparkling water tap.

Can I install the Alia 4 in 1 in any kitchen?

The 4 in 1 tap connects to your hot and cold water like a regular kitchen tap.

Under the sink, it needs a space 500mm wide, 580mm deep and 450mm high, plus two powerpoints. A licensed plumber must install it.

How many powerpoints does it need?

Two, one for the Bollente boiling unit and one for the Chilled Stream unit. Together they draw up to 1800 W when both are working, so each needs its own standard powerpoint.

Can I use it in offices or hospitality venues?
