The Alia Smart Sink is a kitchen workstation, not just a bowl. A cup washer, waterfall rinse, soap dispenser, knife rack and small bin are built in, with a pull-out mixer to match.
Prep, rinsing and clean-up all happen in one place.
It's laser-cut from 3mm stainless steel and finished in Gunmetal Grey, a deep, modern tone. Set into pale stone it becomes a subtle focal point, and beside dark cabinetry it blends in for a tailored look.
Key features
Containers are lined up for the week ahead. Rinse the vegetables under the waterfall, chop on the prep area beside the bowl and sweep the peelings into the bin. It all happens in one spot.
Friends have gone home and the glasses are stacked up. Press each one onto the cup washer to rinse the inside, then wash the platters in the deep main bowl.
One of you is rinsing pasta while the other preps the salad. With two bowls and a work area between them, nobody has to wait for the sink.

How it works
Small details that make every meal easier to make and clear away.
Two work areas. Washing and preparing each have their own space. One person can rinse ingredients in the main bowl while another clears dishes or preps beside it, so nobody waits for the sink.
Waterfall rinse. A broad, gentle waterfall stream rinses fruit and vegetables as you prepare them. Hold the produce under it, give it a turn, and it's ready for the chopping board.
Cup washer. Turn a glass or bottle upside down and press it onto the cup washer. A jet of water rinses the inside, so glasses are ready to refill between drinks.
Knife rack. The knife rack sits beside the prep area and drains as your knives dry. The knife slot lifts out for cleaning. Beneath it, a draining box carries water away through its own pipe.
Pull-out mixer. The included mixer pulls out, so you can rinse around the bowls and the prep area without carrying everything over to the tap.
Soap dispenser. The soap dispenser is built into the sink, within easy reach while you wash up. To refill it, lift off the head and pump and pour soap in from above.
Compact bin. A small bin sits right where you prepare food. Peelings and scraps go straight in as you chop, and the bench stays clear.

A smart kitchen sink brings washing, preparing and cleaning up together in one workstation. The Alia Smart Sink builds in a cup washer, waterfall rinse, soap dispenser, knife rack and bin, and comes with a pull-out mixer.
It measures 1050mm wide and 470mm deep, so a little over a metre across. The main bowl is 400 × 400mm, a 40cm square, and 220mm deep.
Two. A large main bowl sits at one end and a smaller bowl at the other, with a prep area between them.
3mm, or 3 millimetres, is the thickness of the stainless steel sheet the sink is made from. The sink is laser-cut from that sheet on precision machines, run by an experienced operator.
Hold a glass or bottle upside down over the cup washer and press down. Water jets up inside it to rinse it, ready for the next drink.
The soap bottle sits under the sink. Lift off the dispenser's head and pump from the top of the sink, pour soap into the bottle through the opening, then put the pump and head back.
The knife slot lifts out of the draining box beneath it. Rinse it, then set it back so it sits flat with the sink.
Water from wet knives runs into the draining box and away through its own drain pipe.
Yes. The pull-out mixer is part of the Alia Smart Sink, so there's no separate tap to buy. The waste, overflow and plumbing kit is included too.
Possibly. The cut-out and cabinet must match the dimension drawing, so a retrofit may need a new benchtop or changes to the cabinet.
Measure before you order.
Your cabinetmaker prepares the cabinet and cuts the benchtop, and your own licensed plumber connects the mixer, the waste and the built-in water features.
The cup washer's inlet tube joins the water supply under the sink through a tee joint, with a filter ring in the line. The knife rack's draining box has its own drain pipe, which connects to the waste through an adaptor.
Your plumber makes both connections during installation.
