Overview

Alia X51 Instant Filtered Boiling and Ambient Water Tap in Brushed Gold

Alia X51 Instant Filtered Boiling and Ambient Water Tap in Brushed Gold

Finished in Brushed Gold, the Alia X51 adds a warm, golden focal point to the kitchen. Calacatta Gold marble or Caesarstone Mineral Organic White keeps the palette light, with Dulux Hog Bristle Half cabinetry.

Polytec Soft Walnut Ravine and brushed brass pulls bring in rich, natural warmth. A Tasmanian Oak fluted panel adds texture beside the tap.

A golden feature that earns its place, with fresh filtered water for tea and every glass.

Key features

Key features of the Alia X51 boiling and ambient water tap

  • A pot of tea for two

A friend drops by for a catch-up. Fill the teapot with boiling water from the panel and let it brew, then pour two glasses of filtered ambient water from the same tap while you wait.

  • Cooking from scratch

The sauce is simmering and the pot needs fresh water. Fill it with boiling water at 98°C straight from the tap, then rinse the vegetables under the mixer handle.

  • An afternoon green tea

Green tea is often made at about 80°C, a little below boiling. Set the tap to match and the cup pours at just the heat you chose.

How it works

How the Alia X51 boiling and ambient water tap works

The X51 boiling water tap pours two filtered waters from the touch panel, plus hot and cold water from the handle. Here's the path each one takes.

  1. Cold mains water passes through the F5000L filter first, which holds back fine grit and reduces the chlorine taste and smell.

  2. Water for boiling goes into the Bollente unit under the sink, which heats it to the temperature you set, up to 98°C.

  3. Unlock the panel and touch boiling. Each pour gives up to 1.6 L before the unit heats more.

  4. Press the cold button for filtered ambient water. It goes from the filter straight to the tap, so it isn't heated. The mixer handle pours hot and cold water from the mains.

Questions

X51 boiling and ambient water tap FAQs

Can't see your question? Ask our team, or call (03) 9219 0189.

How hot does the water get?

Up to 98°C, a touch below the 100°C of a rolling boil and hot enough for cooking. You can set it as low as 35°C for warm water.

What can I use the boiling water for?

A pot of tea, green tea at about 80°C, the pasta pot and other cooking, straight from the tap. The water is filtered before it's heated.

How much boiling water do I get each time?

Up to 1.6 L per pour, enough for about eight 200ml cups. The Bollente tank holds 2.4 L, so after a large pour it needs a little time to heat more.

Can the X51 also pour filtered ambient water?

Yes. Press the cold button on the panel and it pours filtered water that hasn't been heated, for a glass to drink. The mixer handle gives hot and cold water from the mains, which isn't filtered.

Does the X51 also do chilled and sparkling water?

Not this model, but it can be upgraded.

Our team can add a chilled unit, or a chilled and sparkling unit, under your sink. Upgrades are arranged by phone on (03) 9219 0189.

Is it safe to use around children?

The boiling water has a child lock that can't be turned off. Hold the lock button for two seconds, then hold the boiling button to pour.

The tap also has an anti-scald design. Boiling water can still burn, so keep young children away while it's pouring.

What certifications does the X51 hold?

The X51 is WaterMark certified (WMK26897), meets AS 3718 and carries a lead-free marking.

WaterMark is how plumbing products are certified in Australia, and AS 3718 is the standard for water supply tapware. The Bollente boiling unit holds its own certification as a filtered boiling water appliance.

What does the filtration do?

The F5000L is a 5-micron activated carbon block. 5 micron means it holds back grit far finer than a human hair, and the carbon reduces the chlorine taste and smell, so tea and plain water taste cleaner.

How often should I change the filter?

Every 8–12 months, and no later than 12 months. The activated carbon ages once it's wet, so time sets the change date, not how much you use.

A replacement F5000L filter is $150, including GST and delivery.

How is the Alia X51 installed?

A licensed plumber must install it, either your own or one of our authorised installers. They connect the tap to your hot and cold water and fit the filter and boiling unit under the sink.

Will it fit under my sink, and can I install it in an apartment?

It needs a cupboard space 500mm wide, 580mm deep and 450mm high, plus two powerpoints. In an apartment, check your owners corporation rules and have a licensed plumber confirm the fit.

Is the X51 suitable for cafés, offices and restaurants?

It suits an office team of about 15–20 people, and the warranty applies at work as well as at home. For a café, restaurant or busier kitchen, call us on (03) 9219 0189 to talk it through.

What is the warranty period?

Every Alia product is covered by a 2-year warranty. See the warranty policy for details, or call (03) 9219 0189.

Where can I buy the X51, and who do I contact with questions?

Order it here, with free shipping across Australia, or see it at selected authorised retailers. For questions, call (03) 9219 0189 or email sales@aliaglobal.com.au.
